Stone That Sparkles

We have always been fascinated by the pure brilliance of natural stone.   Surrounded by it for so many years has given us a great appreciation of how natural stone is created by the earth.   Working with the earths natural elements we experience first hand, the beauty within the stone.  Having this experience gives us an immense sense of satisfaction.   It is our pleasure to provide you, with the stone that sparkles.

Our Stone Collection

Granite -  Granite is an igneous rock.  With a worldwide market to choose from, nature has provided wonderful and unique characteristics.  We have access to the worlds finest granite and slabs.  Our showroom has many granite samples to choose from-we also have an on-line resource where you can look at individual slabs.  Our supplier will deliver the slabs on an approval basis.  This will allow you to see the granite slabs before making a final decision.  Granites that are native to Vermont are as follows Barre Gray granite, Bethel White Granite, Woodbury granite
.
Marble -  Marble is a metamorphic rock.  Vermont is fortunate to have several marble quarries.  VT Danby Marble is quarried in Danby, VT.  There are several different material choices that come out of this quarry.  90% of what comes out of this quarry is used for counter tops.  Danby marble's low absorption rate of 0.07%, (lower than many granites) makes it both a viable and extremely reliable choice for your kitchen.  Danby Marble is a Class A marble meaning it is used for interior, exterior, residential and commercial applications.  VT Danby is certified "Greener Product", and Children and Schools "Green-guard" Indoor air quality certified.

Vermont Verde Antique Marble
Is a dark green serpentine material that is quarried in Rochester, Vermont.  This is a Class C marble-which means it has natural fissures/voids that may need to be reinforced by gluing/rodding/sticking by the fabricator to deliver a long lasting timeless elegant kitchen counter top that will be a conversation piece as the beauty of the marble is an endless discovery.

Champlain Black Marble
Is a grey black brown material that is quarried in Isle La Motte, VT.  This material has fossils of the sea that are very unique and individual.  We recommend that as a kitchen or bathroom counter-top that a honed finish be utilized as the material is susceptible (when polished) to etching.  A polished format for a fireplace facing or desk/furniture application where it is less likely to be contacted by food and drink would be recommended.

Soapstone - From the green mountains of Brazil, we have Majestic, Hubbardton,  Hazel Eyes, and Breton Brook.
